Keiko is a great teacher who has greatly helped to improve my confidence in speaking, writing, reading and listening in Japanese. Lessons are tailored appropriately for my ability and I feel like there is a strong structure to what I am learning.

Keiko is a great Japanese tutor. I was self taught until I found Keiko and she has helped me fill in the gaps in my knowledge whilst making the lessons enjoyable and challenging at the same time!
She listened to what I wanted from the lessons and structures her classes accordingly, so we don't just work through every lesson in the textbook, it's more tailored to my goals, which I appreciate.
Keiko will try to push you out of your comfort zone, because that's where the real learning takes place, even if it's not always easy!

Amazing teaching and very passionate about the language

Incredibly dedicated to teaching and her students.Tailors classes for every student and modifies the methods, pace and focus to bring out the best in people. Has the advantage of understanding academia and the casual conversations that only a native would know. This allows her to answer all answerable questions ranging from slang, to theories behind complex grammar. I don't believe there is a better alternative to learning a language other than a tutor and you won't find a better tutor than Dr Keiko . It doesn't hurt that her fees are very reasonable too.

It’s almost been a year since Keiko has become my tutor and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I’ve learnt so much from her and I wouldn’t know as much Japanese as I do now if it wasn’t for her guidance. The lessons are fun and interactive and I’m always excited for our next lesson! She’s extremely patient and works at your pace but also challenges you to get the most out of the session. Her pricing is also very reasonable for what you get out of the session. I could not recommend Keiko enough!

I have been studying with Keiko for about three months now and all the sessions have been educational and enjoyable. Her lessons were always well-planned and prepared, thus I would have always learned a lot at the end. What is rare about Keiko's teaching is that as a native speaker herself, she's also aware of the challenges faced by speakers of other languages when learning Japanese and has developed helpful techniques to overcome them. Highly recommended!
