I am a professional teacher with an Honours degree in History and a PGCE in Economics and History. I offer a £25 introductory lesson and a discount from £49 paid per lesson to £46 per hour if 5 hours are paid in advance (£230) and a further discount to £43 per hour if 10 hours are paid in advance (£430)

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Economics and History since 1991 and Politics since 2017. I have extensive tutoring experience including as the Director of Make the GrAde Tuition Ltd (2007 - 2020) which employed over 100 tutors providing tuition for all subjects, all levels, each from a specialist tutor. At different times in my career I have successfully taught in Secondary Modern, Comprehensive, Grammar and private schools. My most recent experience is with AQA History (Tudors, Cold War, modern Russia, modern Germany and modern Italy), AQA Economics and Edexcel Politics (paper 3 option; USA).

Tutoring Approach

I will adjust my approach to fit the individual student whether that is teaching a topic from scratch, supporting their learning at school, focusing on exam technique or whatever is required. With over 30 years experience teaching more than 1000 students I will adapt to the individual concerned.
