Hi! My name is Kerrie and I currently live in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I am a qualified teacher of examination Physical Education, and Sport and Exercise Science. I am currently Head of Department at a large Sixth Form College in South-East London; teaching since 2013. Academically, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Development and Coaching (2:1) from Bournemouth University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE in Post Compulsory) from Canterbury Christ Church University. I also completed my Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) in 2021 which is equivalent to QTS.
Throughout my teaching career, I have taught A-Level Physical Education (AQA) and BTEC Level 3 Sport and Exercise Science (Pearson). I also have an understanding of GCSE Physical Education.
I thrive on helping young people become the best that they can be! I love Sport and PE, and have a real passion for understanding all the different aspects that underpin high level sports performance i.e. Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition and Skill Acquisition. I am a flexible teaching practitioner and am able to tailor my approach to suit the needs of each individual learner. Happy to come to you if local.
