I am a fully qualified maths teacher from London. I graduated from Royal Holloway with a BSc Mathematics with Statistics. I then pursued a career in teaching and gained my PGCE Mathematics with QTS from UCL. I currently work as a maths teacher, educating students in all Key stages at high school. I truly enjoy teaching mathematics. I am enthusiastic, conscientious and experienced. I carefully curate a curriculum tailored to the students needs as I guide and direct them on their maths journey!
I have extensive tutoring experience, that spans over a decade.
I’ve taught and currently teach KS3, GCSE and A level Mathematics at high school. I have a very strong grasp on the subject which allows me to explain a topic in several ways to cater to the student’s understanding. I have excellent resources to hand that have proven effective in my classes, that will enable them to consolidate any learning done in our lessons.
My role as a maths teacher and a tutor, has allowed me to come across a variety of different students all with different needs. My goal is to make mathematics which may seem daunting and anxiety-inducing, into a subject which is in fact fun and rewarding, which needs time, patience and a lot of perseverance. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into smaller bitesize pieces in order for the student to know exactly what is happening at each step. I’m very patient and supportive with my students. I encourage them constantly which gives them the drive to push themselves. I always require my students to have open communication with me so if the require me to repeat anything that they may still feel unsure I’d make sure to explain it in various different ways. I will restore their confidence in mathematics by giving them the tools necessary and develop that self-efficacy to achieve those high grades in maths!
