I am a passionate linguist and love sharing my enthusiasm for language learning with others. I am diligent and committed to the teaching profession and always ensure that my knowledge and practice is current, tailored to my students and engaging. I am friendly, encouraging and am told that my enthusiasm is infectious!
I am an experienced practitioner and have worked as a French and Italian Secondary School teacher and Head of Department for over 10 years. I have a complete up to date working knowledge of the UK MFL qualifications (GCSE and A level) and understand how to help pupils achieve their very best in their exams. I now run my own language teaching company delivering classes to groups of adult learners at both beginners and intermediate level. I also run language events, primary lessons and after school clubs.
I believe that there is no single ‘right’ approach to teaching nor is there a magic wand to ensure that learners succeed. I therefore aim to plan and deliver lessons that are tailored to my students. My goal is to provide engaging lessons that make the learning fun - and often this is how I get the best out of my students.
