Hello, my name is Kimberly and I regard myself to be an outstanding teacher with over 15 years experience in FE delivery and for the past 4 years I have been working in the independent sector at a local grammar school as a Sixth Form Psychology teacher teaching the AQA syllabus.
I started my teaching career at Bury College in 2007, where I finished my teaching placement, whilst being paid to teach Psychology classes to 16- 18 year old students. I then became a full time member of staff and was the Psychology Team Leader until I left in 2019 to work at a local grammar school at their Sixth Form, where I currently teach the AQA Psychology syllabus to 16-18 year old students.
I have 9 years experience as a trained AQA examiner, marking paper 2.
I have been a personal tutor for 3 years and have contributed to supporting several A-Level students to achieve their predicted grades for university.
I pride myself on being able to form a quick rapport with my students that is built on trust, respect and the reassurance that I will support and guide them with their education in a patient and supportive way. I am happy to share my vast collection of detailed resources for the 11 topics that are examined at A-Level. I will set relevant homework if the student requests that and will give prompt and detailed feedback on how the student can improve their exam technique to gain higher marks, from my knowledge of being an examiner and experienced teacher.
