Hi, I am a Biomedical Science graduate (first class honours) currently studying Dentistry at Kings Collage London. Alongside my studies I have been tutoring for 9 years. This has allowed me to develop a diverse communication platform through various mediums. I am very passionate about Science and enjoy helping others engage in the field. My experience ranges from tutoring students Science at The University of Kent, multiple secondary schools, one to one tutoring and also teaching learning skills in Hong Kong and around the London region.

Science Specific Teaching Assistant
At a mainstream secondary school
Leading personally designed learning sessions allowed me to develop my problem solving abilities and build up a diverse communication platform through various mediums.
Researching and planning Science A level and GCSE sessions allowed me to gain a brilliant understand of the exam boards and topics.
The role developed my creativity though engaging different learning styles and abilities
2012, 2014-During my time at university I was employed by the University of Kent (Outreach) as a Student ambassador/ Mentor. I worked at local schools in the Kent area, mentioning students in Science subjects ranging from GCSE's, AS and A2 levels. The job role required me to work with young adults at various levels of capability with some children suffering from learning disabilities. This opportunity allowed me to develop various teaching styles. I am able to create and deliver personally designed sessions to elevate learning and understanding of Science.
2013- In my second year at University I tutored mature students taking degrees within the School of Bioscience. I would lead discussions based around tough scientific concepts, alongside creating activities to boost confidence and understanding in the subject.
2010- Following various teaching courses I was offered as part of the Army Cadet Force training, I was given the opportunity to teach young adults aged 14- 17 in Hong Kong. This was a very insightful experience to teach in another culture. The children were from disadvantaged back grounds. They benefited highly from the confidence building activities and this reflected in their increased self-confidence by the end of the month.
I apply a very adaptable approach to tutoring, considering that every individual learning style varies. During my time working as a Science specialist teaching assistant I was able to develop my creativity though engaging different learning styles and abilities. Being in the school environment also gave me a brilliant insight into the GCSE Science specification and exam board layout. I was also underwent continued professional development through training days and safeguarding sessions. Finally through leading my own Science sessions, I was able to create my own learning resources tailored to the GCSE specification. Currently I adopt the approach of tailoring personally designed Science sessions to meet the ability requirements of the client, alongside liaising with clients to identify goals and improve knowledge and understanding of problem areas.
