I am a student who recently completed A-levels, as I go into university I hope to share my passion in science and maths with students who are nearing their exams and perhaps are losing confidence. I hope to alleviate exam stress and to help students reach their best!

Tutoring Experience

I have previously tutored for a private organisation, where I worked with familes and their children to increase their abilities in English and Maths. I also worked with families in preparing for the 11+, which is an exam taken to gain entry into selective schools. For many families, this would have been their first time approaching the 11+ so I aimed to provide alot of support regarding exam structure. Additionally, I have been an academic tutor for Year 11 and Year 12 in my school, I tutored students on a one to one basis in subjects such as Biology.

Tutoring Approach

Typically, my approach would vary between each student and each subject, as everyone learns in different ways. Hence, I would first learn the student’s preferences (e.g. pace) as well as their core strengths and weaknesses. Throughout the lessons, I will ensure exam techniques are being emphasised as much as possible to avoid a loss in marks for the exam.
