I am a senior researcher at the University of Turku, Finland, University of Eastern Finland, Finland, and the University of Limerick, Ireland. My work is about education and health sciences, and for my PhD, I carried out a study on adapted physical activity, research methods, sport and exercise psychology.
I'm currently based in Finland, so online classes would be very practical. Please note the 2 hour time difference when preferring evening classes.

Tutoring Experience

In 2019, my research areas have moved to online learning. I am very familiar with tutoring methods using online teaching.

Since 2018, I have co-supervised PhD and Master Degree students in physical education and sport sciences.

Since 2013, I have experience in each of the following areas at University level (undergraduate and post graduate courses)

Since 2010 I have experience in each of the following areas
Private Tutor of English Language as a Foreign Language to adults
Private Tutor of Website Designs and Marketing

Since 2006 I have;
Taught PE to Primary, Secondary, Lower, Middle, and Upper school aged children as a Sports Coach during Curriculum and Extra Curriculum sessions.
Taught GCSE and A-Level PE in schools

Tutoring Approach

Because I teach remotely, I make use of the technology we have without the need to travel somewhere else, or feel worried about the safety of meeting a stranger. FirstTutors has a online teaching platform to use whereby I aim to help the students to answer their questions.
I use Vygotsky's zone of proximal development, whereby the individual finds their limit of learning the concept and goes beyond it so students can develop themselves.
I expect to keep the sessions focused on the outcomes. The students should come prepared prior to the tutor time.
