I am a qualified chemistry teacher offering online tutoring at National 5 level.
I obtained a 2:1 honours degree in Chemistry at the University of the West of Scotland (2016) and PGDE Secondary Education (Chemistry with Science)(2017) from the University of Strathclyde.
I am currently available to tutor online any weekday evening past 5pm or Saturday morning.

Tutoring Experience

I have five years of experience teaching in Scottish schools. In that time I have taught ten National 5 classes, three Higher classes and four Advanced Higher classes and so I am confident in my knowledge of the Scottish chemistry curriculum and how each subject level links to the next.

Tutoring Approach

Tutoring should always be student led to ensure that the students' learning needs will be met.
I am flexible, however through experience I have found that the most effective method of tutoring is focussing on difficult areas of the course by explaining the difficult concepts alongside practising exam type questions. The aim is to provide the student with the confidence in their skills when answering examination questions.
