I am a passionate individual who has dedicated the past 17 years to teaching young people and adults, giving them the skills to maximise their potential and make excellent progress.
I have taught GCSE English Language and Literature and A-Level English Language since qualifying in 2007. In 2011 I became Head of Media Studies and have taught GCSE and A-Level Media since gaining this position. I have a proven track-record in both subject areas. I spent three years teaching resit English Language at Northumberland College, focusing my time on ensuring students achieve their 4/5 grade and higher. I am currently teaching at a secondary school (ages 11-18) teaching KS3, 4 and 5, whilst also helping adult learners to attain a Grade 4/5 for university entry. I specialise in the AQA specification, but I am able to teach all specifications. I also teach AQA A-Level English Language.
I provide a friendly, professional and knowledgeable approach to my subject areas. I aim to ensure that the needs of each student is catered for, to ensure they reach their potential.
