I am currently a primary school teacher who has tutored maths for 3 years. The ages have ranged from 7-17.

Tutoring Experience

I have had 6 years teaching in primary schools in West Yorkshire. I have completed 2 years in year 5 and prior to this, I taught in year 2 for 4 years. Therefore I have a seen and taught a range of subjects and all elements of the national curriculum. After school, I taught Year 6 boosters in maths, reading and spag to prepare for ks2 tests. I have also completed many phonics screening tests and ks1 sats.

Tutoring Approach

Usually, I would assess the child in the year group to assess where gaps are and plan from there. If a child asked me to cover anything, I would also ensure that was taught in the next session.
