For the last two years I have been tutoring students GCSE Maths through the NTP scheme and my own private students. I have a PGCE Secondary Mathematics qualification through University of Durham and a BA Pure Mathematics degree from Liverpool University. I also have experience with primary maths too and have tutored students through their SATS/11 plus. I have a son in Year 7 so often help him too. We were living abroad and I was a primary teacher in an International School there for over 4 years.
I am also a Cub Scout leader so have lots of practical experience with children too. I am also a qualified Accountant so have business related skills.

Tutoring Experience

I have primary and secondary experience. 11 plus/SATs I can tutor (maths/English) and also secondary GCSE maths (year 7-11). I can also help primary students as I have experience with teaching in primary schools for many years.
I have an enhanced DBS which can be shown to you, as I currently help in a local primary school in my spare time.
I am currently teaching online so this way of teaching I have lots of experience.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my tutoring to what the student and their family want, whether this is recapping on what they have learnt in class or teaching them the content before they are taught this in the class. I also teach English online to young to teenage students so have lots of experience in keeping children engaged whilst on screens. I have learnt lots of innovative and creative ways to teach so I will use these methods to engage your child.
The biggest thing that children struggle with in Maths is confidence, so rest assured I am great at instilling confidence in my students.
