Hi there, my name is Lee and I'm a 35 year old Science teacher from Oldham. I have been teaching Science for 12 years in a range of secondary schools in Oldham, Rochdale and Glossop. Before becoming a teacher I worked as a Learning Mentor for 3 years. A role that required working closely with a small group of students with the aim of improving their academic performance.
I am lucky enough to have a wonderful fiancé (she is also a science teacher) and two amazing boys and I am here looking to raise some funds to make their dreams come true... Probably a trip to DisneyWorld. Yeah, that would definitely do it.
A total of 12 years teaching secondary science across a range of courses including:-
GCSE Science (OCR/AQA)
GCSE Biology (OCR/AQA)
GCSE Anatomy and Physiology (AQA)
BTEC Applied Science (OCR)
A-Level Biology (AQA)
I will:-
- Listen to, and get to know you so I can learn your strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, goals and motivations, all with the aim of providing tailored sessions and support.
- provide sessions which are well planned and resourced, relevant to your course and to your needs.
- Help with all aspects of your course including skills such investigation planning, evaluation, exam technique, extended writing.
- Have a laugh and maybe even have some fun.
