I’m Leillah Madhau, an enthusiastic and dedicated Science educator with a passion for making learning engaging, practical, and accessible to all students. I’m committed to inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and helping students achieve their full potential—while making science exciting, relevant, and fun.
I hold an MSc in Pharmaceutical Quality by Design and a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science, alongside a Level 6 Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I have extensive subject knowledge across Forensic Science, Applied Science, and GCSE Chemistry, with experience delivering to both secondary and higher education levels. I am familiar with BTEC Level 2 & 3 and GCSE (AQA) curricula, as well as undergraduate degree programmes. My teaching experience spans multiple roles, including Lecturer in Forensic Science at Nottingham College, where I teach BTEC Level 3 and BSc (Hons) students, and Volunteer Lecturer in Science at Leicester College, delivering GCSE Chemistry. I’ve also taught at Coventry College and worked in a variety of scientific and technical roles, enriching my lessons with industry insights.
My teaching style is highly interactive and student-centred, blending hands-on practical work with clear, structured theory to help learners connect concepts to real-world applications. Whether I’m designing a simulated crime scene for forensic analysis or guiding a one-to-one tutorial, I aim to create an inclusive, supportive, and motivating learning environment where students feel confident to explore and ask questions.
