Leon

Hi! My name is Leon and I am a third year medical student at the University of Cambridge. My curious nature has always pushed me towards learning more about the world around us and has led me to a career in medicine. I would love nothing more than to share what I know to help inspire the next generation.

I attained all 9s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A Level (Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry). I am greatly intrested in research and whilst at university I have completed two research projects in genetics and behaviour.

I am a kind and friendly person who is open to any and all questions so feel free to message me about anything. I look forward to teaching you in the future!

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored over 20 people across the last 3 years in a vast variety of topics ranging from the 11+ exam to University entrance exams. Through this I have developed a unique teaching style and have learnt which methods are the most effective and enjoyable for the students.
My students have gone on to progress to the universities and schools of their choice including to Oxbridge. I encourage openess between student and tutor and readily take on the feedback to better my teaching style.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is catered to both the student's course specifications as well as their current knowledge and needs. I am flexible when it comes to what to teach and I am more than happy to go over topics in multiple different styles and approaches to ensure the student has a complete understanding of the topic.

I combine the use of visual aids and hand drawn diagrams to make my teaching more accessible to all students. I also like to encourage active learning and will put questions to the students to encourage them to develop their own critical thinking skills rather than having information shoved at them.

I also encourage some form of homework to consolidate and reinforce new topics but this is up to the discretion and particular circumstances of each student and I understand if this is not a feasible course of action.
