Hello, I’m a current 3rd-year Physicist studying at Imperial College London achieving a First-Class across both my 1st and 2nd year. I have always had an in-depth understanding of Maths and Physics; I aim to help students improve their skills by building on their foundations. Every student has a preferred teaching style, so my teaching methods are always adaptive to maximise their progress. To me, the most important part of learning is having fun at the same time, so I always try to bring positive vibes to my lessons!
In my A-levels and GCSEs, I received all A*/A grades, including achieving the highest mark in A-Level Further Maths for my cohort.
In my free time, I love to go to the gym and train in martial arts, specifically Muay Thai
and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. I find this gives my brain a necessary break, allowing me to work my hardest the next day. To keep myself creative I like to mix music with my friends.
During my A-levels, I worked for an in-person tutoring company that taught Maths to students aged 4-16. This is where I gained a lot of experience teaching different ages and where I learnt to adapt my style.
I've also been a private tutor for GCSE/A-level students for 4+ years. Every student I'
ve worked with has passed their exams with many exceeding their expectations. I'm confident in my ability to cover a range of entrance exams including 11+ and the PAT.
Communication is the most important factor in my teaching approach; with it, I can help students reach their full potential. In general, lessons are student-focused, mainly working on their weaknesses. With proper preparation, we will cover one topic area thoroughly until students are completely confident. After every lesson, practice questions will be set for students to solidify their understanding.
Online lessons are primarily through Zoom where I utilise a shared whiteboard software. This allows me and the students to express our thoughts and show our workings in real time resulting in smooth communication! Access to the whiteboard is provided after the lesson for students to reflect on in future.
Exam-focused lessons will break down the structure of questions, showing students the best ways to approach them along with lots of practice questions. I will also guide students toward reliable resources that they can use for self-study sessions.
To conclude, I'm able to match the pace of any student I work with, making learning a comfortable experience for everyone. My overall goal is to empower students to enjoy learning and be independent!
