Hi there! My name is Leona and I am a Biomedical Scientist. I am a very friendly and outgoing individual so there will be no issues getting to know me or being comfortable around me! I am a keen cook and baker!

Tutoring Experience

I have experience in teaching family friends and work colleagues children, as well as tutoring a range of students towards fantastic grades in qualifications in recent years!

Tutoring Approach

First of all I feel it is key to be comfortable with your tutor to ensure you gain the most from your experience, I feel I am very approachable therefore becoming comfortable around me should not be an issue! I do not have a set approach to tutoring as I understand that all students learn in their own way and taking a quick questionnaire before beginning tutoring will allow me to determine the best approach for each individual's learning needs. For example I am a visual learner who learns best from diagrams and visual aids such as videos howeve everyone is different. I do however feel that past papers where available are a great aid as these are key in knowing what to expect so that there are no unexpected situations providing confidence.

Under the current circumstances I am happy to fully teach all areas of the subject to a high level of understanding in order to ensure education is not held back! I would prefer to do this over zoom or a similar platform with information give through PowerPoint, this will then allow the student to have these as resources for studying.
