I am an experienced primary school teacher and assistant principal who is extremely passionate about being able to give children every opportunity possible to succeed and achieve in life. I understand the difficulties many face in Maths and want to impart my understanding and love of maths on as many as possible.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in the primary sector for over 7 years now, having taught mainly across Years 5 & 6. I also have experience in leading Maths and driving curriculum changes through the subject as well as being responsible for data outcomes in my school. Over recent years I have marked KS2 SATs papers and therefore feel my knowledge and understanding of what children need to achieve is exemplary. Under my leadership my current school received the best outcomes at KS2 in it’s history and I’m passionate about giving every child the best education possible.

Tutoring Approach

As a teacher I look to make my lessons engaging and simple as this is the best way we all learn. I try to break down mathematical questions using visual clues and reminders that constantly reflect on what children should know. If they don’t I will close these gaps to ensure that they are able to progress effectively.
