My son was very pleased with Linda and the way she provided tuition and he found it very useful

Linda is an amazing teacher. She provides a great mix of listening, speaking and practical learning. Linda is very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how she present the material. Her lessons were engaging, useful and she was very patient and supportive, but really know how to motivate. Linda is great at building confidence and keeping lessons fun and engaging through a variety of activities that improve conversation, writing and reading skills. Linda helps me understand content for multiple college courses and she is one of the best teachers that I’ve had. Thank you so much once again. Linda quickly grasped what our son is missing in his understanding of the English language and more importantly given him his confidence in writing and preparing for exams. Highly recommend Linda as a tutor, we’re so pleased.

Linda, I have been asked to leave feedback but this is by no means a critical review of your tutoring. I am struggling with the First Tutors process, of paying a fee to find you without having real contact. I strongly believe that different people/children work best when a connection is made and although that can take time, we felt that this particular connection was not made. Maybe too early to tell or too particular on my daughters side but we felt that this particular tutoring was not right for us. Sorry. I wish for First Tutors to honour returning our finder fee as although there are other tutors on the site, some do not have references and or may not be suitable again.

Linda is a great tutor. She engaged with us first to make sure it was a right fit.
She has tutored my son regularly for about a year.
He is making progress and doesn’t complain about his lessons!
She has worked with us both to support him and works according to his needs.

Linda has been excellent with helping prepare my son for his English gcse exams. He is dyslexic and doesn't enjoy English but she was kind, patient and extremely professional at all times - and he passed - we will definitely use Linda again and recommend her to anyone looking for extra English tuition! I consider myself very lucky to find Linda as an English tutor to help my son get prepared for his English GCSEs. Due to him having a rather technical mindset (he has got 7 and 8 grades in Maths and sciences in the mocks) he was a bit struggling to get the structure of the English exams objectives and his confidence was very low which was not helpful at all. After he got his first mock exam result back in December (that was 2) we decided that we had to seek the extra help from a very good tutor. I was very concerned that it might be too late already but we were lucky indeed to find Linda on this website and our first session was arranged for the end of January.At the very first session I was amazed how quickly Linda understood my son's problems and how efficient the structure of the lesson was - not a minute wasted, everything she was saying and explaining was very valuable information. When my son wanted to discuss the topics related to 'Inspector Calls' she dived into it immediately and it seemed that Linda had just read the play and had the text in front of her. Considering that she is not just an English GCSEs tutor, but also helps students with 11+ prep and entrance exams for other years groups, this instant switch and diving into the details was impressive to me.Not only Linda is a high level professional but also she is a very good teacher as my son's confidence level has improved significantly by now and the feedback from his school is much more positive. The teacher mentioned last time the grade 6 when my son completed a couple questions from one of  past GCSE papers. What was previously taking like a day and a half for my son to complete now only is a matter of minutes which is evidence that he has got much more understanding of what is needed when answering questions and writing essays and how exactly to hit those objectives. I strongly recommend Linda to everyone who feels they might need extra help to get prepared for their English GCSEs even if that feels like a lot of help is required.

Linda was excellent tutor for my daughter and raised her standard to ensure a very good grade in her GCSE. Highly recommend Linda if you need English tuition, as it is aimed at ensuring a good grade and learning a skill for life.

Linda tutored our daughter to prepare her for her 11 Plus entrance exam. She was very sensitive to our daughter's specific needs and was able to tailor classes that worked for her, in particular supporting her with Maths which our daughter found most difficult. Our daughter looked forward to going to see Linda and they established a really positive rapport. Our daughter passed the exam and was offered a place at her first choice school - so thank you Linda!

Linda is a fantastic tutor and worked tirelessly with my son to help him realise his full potential. He had some additional learning requirements which Linda was very quick to identify and she tailored her approach to suit his individual needs. I needed an English tutor for my daughter for the 11+ Exam, and by misunderstanding choosen Linda, but as latterly we found out, Linda is not providing her tuition for one subject only, she does only for all four subjects which form 11+ exam

We are very glad that we found Linda，she has been an excellent tutor for 11+ entrance exam，she was really helpful, full of support and had an extensive knowledge. With more application and help,as a result my daughter passed her 11+ entrance exam of Wycombe Abbey School and North London Collegiate School.

We used Linda's services for just over a year prior to the 11+. Excellent teaching, my twin daughters really enjoyed going to her sessions and certainly learned a lot and gained in confidence. Her sessions in the Summer prior to the exam were particularly helpful. She took two border.line candidates and they both passed.

My daughter has had Linda for a few weeks and so far she has been brilliant and made her learning very interesting and engaging. I would definitely recommend Linda for indentifying quickly which areas need further work and best methodology to achieve this. My daughter is already feeling more confident with her maths and it's still early days.

It is still early days but were are very impressed by Linda's very thorough and thoughtful approach to tutoring.

My daughter had lessons with Linda to try to get into a grammar school and passed every English exam from the help of her. She only had lessons for a few months and her English improved drastically. Linda was given a short amount of time to work with my daughter as we weren't expecting the exams to come so early. We had long lessons and she did as much as she could to help my daughter. We are very grateful for Linda and we would recommend her to anyone who's looking for a good English tutor.

Extremely thorough, well structured lessons with great attention to detail. Linda has proved to be a most reliable and reassuring source in providing much needed support.

Linda has been a great support to our 10 year daughter during a year of weekly 1:1 tuition, resulting in some excellent progress in both Maths and Literacy as well as solid preparation for the 11+ entrance exam. Linda also helped us initiate the formal process to verify that our daughter has mild dyslexia. She has a nice pleasant manner and consistent approach and our daughter always came out of the sessions feeling much more confidant of her abilities. We would not hesitate in recommending Linda as a tutor.

Linda is an excellent tutor and is highly recommended. She helped my daughter pass her 11+ and get an interview with City of London Girls. We are still waiting for the final decision from the School. Linda managed to cover all the topics that were required for the 11+ and also helped my daughter with exam and interview techniques. Overall very helpful and accommodating and I would highly recommend Linda.
