My name's Lisette. I'm an experienced TEFL qualified and CELTA trained native speaking EFL Teacher from the U.K. with a passion for English and travel.
I have had various jobs from Graphic Designer, Property Renovator and British Red Cross Administrator and First Aid Training Coordinator. Through delivering First Aid workshops in schools, voluntary teaching projects abroad in Tanzania and Madagascar, as well as a teaching internship in Vietnam, I discovered my love of teaching, combined with my existing loves of the English language and travel. It all fell into place 10 years ago.
I have 10 years experience teaching English as a second language to students worldwide from young learners to mature adults and from beginner to advanced level.
My most recent experiences have been teaching English in Italy and Sardinia from 2017-2020 to young learners, teens, University students and adults as well as offering one to one English tuition to teens and adults as a private English tutor.
I have also prepared students to successfully pass their English exams at GCSE level and ESL students at A1, A2, B1 and B2 level using the Cambridge English Language assessment and following the Common European Framework of Reference.
During my time in the UK I have also had fun teaching and leading activities at various summer schools in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and London, again to a variety of students such as Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, of different ages and levels.
I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, yet motivated. Thus enabling greater confidence in learning and practising their English skills.
I create a friendly yet focussed approach, engaging students in learning the 4 key skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing using relevant vocabulary, grammar points and functional language for specific situations, employing error correction as and when necessary.
Dynamic activities for fluency and pronunciation are practised through interactive games, exercises, creative tasks and role plays.
