I have been a Science teacher for over 20 years, teaching in both large secondary schools and small private schools. I have also worked with small groups of home schooled young people who are looking for a flexible tutoring experience. I love walking on the South Downs & running over them if I have the energy!

Tutoring Experience

I am a very experienced secondary school teacher with over 20 years experience, enabling students to reach and often exceed their potential in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Combined Science.
I have tutored regularly for the past year but also have experience with home school and overseas students within the past 10 years.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on practising exam skills over a variety of question styles including maths and graph skills, longer style answers and key ideas. I also support students to create revision materials and am happy to be flexible aims of a session when there is a particular curriculum area they need to review.
I'm happy to respond to the needs of students, for example helping them create revision cards or responding to a topic they have found particularly difficult in class that week.
