I am an avid learner, naturally curious and have a strong passion for teaching. I am a firm believer in the passing on of knowledge learned through personal experiences for social and personal growth. I learn from my students just as much as they learn from me.

Outside of my teaching work, I enjoy cooking and eating good food and playing video games. I’m always up for a chat about shared interests!

I have 3 years of secondary classroom teaching experience for years 7 - 11 and 1 year of in person tutoring

Tutoring Approach

I am patient, friendly, and encouraging. During my time as a classroom teacher many of my students have said they favoured my lessons and my teaching methods, and have gone on to enjoy maths as a subject through my teaching. I am also very empathetic and understanding of individual needs and situations.

Maths can be a complicated subject, and many students struggle with low confidence in their abilities. I am passionate about helping my learners build their confidence and independence while we work towards improving their mathematical knowledge and abilities.

Over the years I have developed the ability to break down complex concepts into easily understandable parts and try my best to make them relatable in real world terms.
