I am a 54 year old mum with 2 Boys who loves teaching them about Science and Chemistry. I have my own Waste Management Company, which deals with primarily Chemical/Hazardous Waste. I am Chartered Chemist (CChem), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv). I have a degree and PhD in Chemistry and I am a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) .I am DBS Checked (last 2023)
Currently tutoring AQA Exam Board A2 (7405) , AS Chemistry (7405) only. I am also available for intensive revision sessions.

Tutoring Experience

Part-time visiting lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton during my PhD (1994-1998) for undergraduate and MSC students including exam invigilation.
Private tuition for Physics & Chemistry during my PhD (1994-98)
Current teaching role is the NEBOSH Environmental Awareness through Delyn Safety UK in Mold.

Tutoring Approach

Being a mum has given me valuable insight of how children learn and my style of tutoring is through support and encouragement and allowing the child to fully comprehend the concept/subject, so they can move on confidently with a solid understanding. Examination technique is also an integral part of tutoring and practicing exam style questions is important to increase student confidence. I am happy to provide support via e-mail up until the date of their exam.
