Hi, I’m Luca, a patient and detail-oriented tutor who genuinely enjoys helping others understand and appreciate maths. I love the problem-solving side of maths just as much as the satisfaction of seeing things click for someone else. Outside of tutoring, I spend time coding and exploring creative projects, especially in game development.
I achieved a Distinction in the MST124 maths module and hold a GCSE Maths grade 9. I’ve been tutoring a child weekly in game development using Unreal Engine 5, where I’ve also adapted my teaching to support their autism-related learning needs. This experience has taught me the importance of pacing, clarity, and flexibility when working one-on-one.
My goal is to help students understand why maths works, not just memorise how to solve problems. I believe that deeper understanding builds stronger confidence and makes maths much more enjoyable. Right now, I start by identifying what the student knows, and then build step-by-step from the basics, adjusting as we go. I’m always working on refining my structure and would love to tailor sessions based on each student’s needs and learning style.
