I am a first-class Oxford Graduate, a highly experienced teacher and a mum of two. After a teaching career lasting over a decade, I have made the switch to tutoring in order to focus on individual support. I am passionate about language and literature but also about tailor-made learning that suits the individual learner.
The King's School Canterbury - English Teacher, 2015-2024
The University of Kent - Lecturer, intermittently from 2008-2013
Brasenose College, University of Oxford - Lecturer, 2005-2006
I have a warm, friendly and individual approach. With considerable experience of teaching pupils with SEN, I can offer every learner specialised support that genuinely helps to build their skills and confidence. My extensive qualifications mean that I can teach the very highest levels and abilities but I am equally skilled at supporting under-confident learners. My years of school-teaching mean that I am also highly practical in my approach to exam boards and their criteria.
