I am an experienced teacher who lives nearby Bath, transitioning to part time work with a young family. I have a son in a local primary school and a daughter enjoying preschool. I enjoy my sport and exercise, play guitar and am a trained respite foster carer.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a teacher, subject leader and middle manager at a successful independent preparatory school in Bath for 11 years in Years 3 - 6. This has included preparing Year 5 and 6 children for various entrance examinations and Common Entrance. I have been successful in helping many children pass into their chosen secondary setting.

I also now provide Maths and English tutoring to 14-16 year olds who are not currently attending school. I have experience working with children with a range of SEN and behavioural challenges.

I am a supportive, encouraging teacher who puts huge emphasis on forming positive rapport with the children and young people I work with. I am purposeful in how I plan and deliver lessons, working in response to each child's particular needs to keep them motivated and engaged.
