I have always been passionate about learning, always going beyond what was expected, and constantly exhilarated by looking at problems from different angles or using different methods for the same problem. This naturally led to my passion for teaching.
I have hundreds of hours of experience. I tutored Mathematics and Chemistry 10 hours a week to a variety of ages, from GCSE up to A-level. I tutored both in-person and online, carefully tailoring the lesson to each student depending on ability, interest and exam board. I am often communicating with parents on students’ performance and offer my opinion on what techniques they can use to do better. I am familiar with the current mark schemes and understand where marks are awarded, which I believe to be a core teaching resource. I teach the common tricks and pitfalls employed by examiners year after year and focus on areas that most teachers leave too late or don’t go into enough detail, enabling my students to achieve the top grades. I always teach from understanding the basic principles so that harder questions can be tackled with ease.
I take a very synoptic approach to studying ensuring that everything is understood to a high standard
