Hi! I'm Luke. I tutor philosophy, politics, and critical thinking.
I offer friendly and interactive tutoring that works around you and caters to your specific needs.
I hold an undergraduate Master's degree in Philosophy (First-Class Honours) from the University of Glasgow and a masters degree in Political Philosophy from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
I'm presently a PhD candidate in Political Philosophy at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where I work on topics related to social and economic justice, especially justice in the workplace. My research focuses on labour justice and the emerging "gig economy".
I'm also a language tutor for Spanish and Catalan!
I have over a decade of teaching experience across a range of contexts including universities and sixth-form colleges, and plenty of one-to-one classes.
My aim is to get students to grasp topics at an intuitive level rather than relying on textbook formulations - all too tempting! Putting complex and challenging ideas into everyday language is an essential skill that will pay dividends in exams and beyond. I try to keep classes stimulating and interactive, while striking the right balance between challenge and support.
