I have worked extensively as a personal tutor for around 8 years with great success. I'm highly versatile and can adapt to my students needs.

Teaching is more than imparting knowledge to students. Students need to be exposed to an environment where active collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking are the norm. As a teacher I regularly provide this kind of environment for my students.
As a science teacher I’m always looking for ways to make the learning of my students inside the classroom applicable to them outside the classroom in the real world. This is what I feel will encourage and motivate them to learn science.
I’m also aware that as a teacher I need to make science fun for the students because I remember for me, that it was the fun factor that initially pulled me in and I know that this will be the case for them. It is also very important that each and every student is included in the learning process which means that differentiation in the classroom, catering for the need of every individual student, is vital. This can only be done by thorough planning of investigations, inquiries and other class activities.
I ensure that through my thorough unit planning, clear educational objectives for myself and students and my varied teaching style, where generally I am a facilitator to the learning in the classroom, I will be able to achieve this.
I intend to create a sense of wonderment inside each and every one of my students so that out in the big world they ask the ‘How?’ and ‘Why?’ questions and then investigate to solve these questions and find answers.
