I am a University of Glasgow alumni, who returned in November to study for a Masters in Medical Genetics and Genomics. I have previously worked within a Genetics laboratory for two years, with previous experience in multidisciplinary medical labs, including Biochemistry, Haematology and Microbiology.
I am passionate about my subject and encourage people's curiosity and love of science.
I am a registered STEM ambassador, and have a PVG to work with children through the STEM ambassadors programme.
I am a first-time professional tutor. I have experience training people from wide-ranging backgrounds in a workplace setting. Furthermore I have experience engaging the general public in science through a variety of displays. I also have experience of the informal tutoring of friends/ friends siblings.
I firmly believe in working with students at their level and exploring which methods of learning work for the student. I like to engage students with real-world and relatable examples of the subject matter.
Also well-versed in exam study techniques and stress-busting.
