I have a real commitment and passion for education, learning and development, both yours and my own. My excellent knowledge and experience accumulated working at Tate and in school galleries, a strong academic foundation in Art History, and my professional roles as a Learning and Development specialist, mean that tutoring is a natural role for me, especially in Modern and Contemporary Art.
I have worked with students in the gallery setting at two secondary schools, Tonbridge and Mascall's school, with the visitors to Tate and with my colleagues online, and lastly with learners throughout my career in Learning and Development in the corporate world.
My overall approach is student centred, focusing on your learning objectives and your preferred study approach. Working together, we will find the right balance of me asking the right questions to start you thinking, experiencing and exploring for yourself, and me giving you the knowledge you need. My aim is that you should achieve your objectives, enjoy your subject and develop the skills of an independent learner, and so do me out of a role!
