Hi! I’m currently studying Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kingston University and have a strong passion for helping others succeed. Outside of my studies, I’m involved in several extracurricular activities, including being a course representative and a campus representative, where I advocate for students and work on improving the university experience. I also play hockey for the GKT Women’s 4s squad, which has helped me develop teamwork and leadership skills. In addition, I work as a nanny, where I support children with their homework and everyday tasks, allowing me to build patience and strong communication skills. My goal as a tutor is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to succeed.
I have several years of experience helping students with their schoolwork, both in formal and informal settings. During my time in school, I regularly assisted younger students with their Maths and English homework, which sparked my passion for tutoring. I also served as a peer mentor and prefect, roles that allowed me to provide academic support and guidance to students across different year groups. Currently, I work as a nanny, where I continue to support children with their homework, focusing on subjects like Maths and English. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of each individual student, whether they’re struggling with a topic or aiming for higher grades.
My teaching approach is focused on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe in adapting my teaching style to fit each student’s individual needs, whether they need help grasping difficult concepts, improving their confidence, or refining their exam techniques. I aim to make lessons interactive and enjoyable by breaking down complex topics into manageable steps and using real-life examples to make the material more relatable. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to foster a deeper understanding and a positive attitude towards learning, ensuring that students develop both their skills and self-confidence.
