I contacted Mandy to help my Daughter with her A’level Chemistry in January 2024 and thankfully she managed to squeeze her in.

Mandy is patient, kind, professional, good at connecting with the person (not just the student) she is reliable and a BRILLIANT Chemistry tutor. I selected Mandy based on her reviews and we were so happy with our choice.

I watched my daughter’s confidence and understanding blossom and she really liked Mandy’s tutoring approach. I seriously would not hesitate to recommend her services, you will not be disappointed!

Mandy is an excellent tutor. My son has enjoyed the sessions and finds them very helpful. In each session Mandy facilitates full understanding of the topic and has fantastic knowledge of the marking criteria.

Mandy has been tutoring my daughter in A Level chemistry for around 4 months now and the impact has been phenomenal. My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia shortly after her GCSE’s, had lost confidence in chemistry and was struggling with the demands of A-level chemistry.

Mandy is an excellent tutor and has helped my son enormously to tackle the most challenging aspects of the A level chemistry syllabus and to improve the way he answers exam questions, his grades are increasing with every test. Mandy is a fantastic support for my son. She is organised and structured in her lessons tailoring each lesson to my son’s needs. My daughter has received A level Chemistry tuition with Mandy since the summer of this year and already my daughter has felt more positive about Chemistry A level, she has been able to answer exam questions which previously she could not, giving her confidence to be able to tackle more difficult questions and succeed in securing a good grade at Chemistry A level. Mandy is a great tutor who is very patient whenever im struggling with something and she always makes sure to expain it very well and that I understood it before moving on. She also has helped me feel more confident when approaching exams or practicing exam papers, she is a great tutor!

Update: My son passed A level chemistry - grade A* The support and encouragement from Dr Mandy was a huge help, she was my son's favourite tutor too.

It's early days, however, I am pleased with the lessons that Dr Mandy has been giving my son for his A level Chemistry. Dr Mandy has provided great resources to aid revision and is always giving exam question tips. She has a very positive and encouraging teaching style which has been well received.

Our son has just received an A in A level chemistry after two years with Dr and he is now going to his first choice Uni to do Biochemistry. Dr was his mainstay throughout the two years not only for chemistry but she became a trusted confidante for our son. She gave him sensible advice and was his mainstay: I think he would never have achieved As in his other subjects either without her wise counsel. She seems a fantastic chemistry teacher for any teenager. Firm but fair, chasing for homework; an absolute expert in the subject, and how to teach it, with all manner of resources. Mandy is an excellent Chemistry tutor. She understands the weaknesses of the student and works accordingly. She has a profound knowledge of her subject. She is very interactive and plans the lessons very well. My daughter really loves to learn from her and finds her lessons very useful.

My son has just finished his first year of A Level chemistry and has recently started tutor sessions with Mandy. We have been really impressed by his lessons which are always well planned with Mandy being very approachable, knowledgable and able to explain things very well. My son is so pleased with how much he has learnt already, since working with Mandy. She has taken the time to communicate with him between lessons to ensure she has a good understanding of what he has studied so far, areas of difficulty for him, as well as planning year 13 topics and has already built up a good rapport with him. We have also been really impressed with the time and effort Mandy puts in to sourcing and sending useful resources and material to support my son’s learning outside of his lessons too. He throughly enjoys his chemistry lessons, she is obviously a very dedicated and talented teacher and both myself and my son feel very fortunate that she is working with him and we have no hesitation in highly recommending Mandy as a tutor.

Dr Mandy is a very professional and efficient tutor who in a short space of time has elavated my confidence in the subject. The lessons are well structured and she takes a lot of time and care to prepare the topics we will be studying in advance. She has been very accommodating taking me on at such short notice.

My daughter is in her first year of A level chemistry and Dr Mandy has been tutoring my daughter for the last few months. I have been impressed by her pro-activity in reaching out to my daughter prior to each lesson to ascertain what subjects would be helpful to be covered so that she can prepare appropriately. My daughter finds the lessons extremely useful. Dr Mandy is clear in her explanations and also very approachable. As a result of the support that she has been receiving from Dr Mandy, she is now not only more confident in the subject but also enjoying it so much more.

My daughter finds Dr thorough, approachable and really likes the way she teaches. Thanks to Dr my daughter tells me she now feels very much more confident. She now understands the areas where she was previously struggling and looks forward to learning more.

So glad we found Mandy to support our year 12 daughter in her A level chemistry studies. Mandy took time to identify what my daughter needs to focus on. She is ready with a lot of relevant materials, explains concepts in a way that my daughter can understand and challenges her thinking. My daughter comes out of each session happy. Thank you Mandy.

Dr Mandy is a very knowledgeable tutor with excellent resources, I would definitely recommend her! We just a few internet issues.

Mandy has been outstanding in helping our daughter learn, feel confident, and enjoy her extra help with Chemistry A Level. She has clearly tailored the sessions to what our daughter needs and when. She has helped her achieve a huge jump from a mock to a resit. The plans for the sessions seems very personal but she also has given very useful 'homework' and provided some really helpful resources. All transactions have been efficient and professional and we would highly recommend Mandy to anyone that wants to enjoy improving their results.

She is an amazing tutor. It hasn’t been long since she has started helping my child with chemistry, but I am sure she will have a bigger impact on my child’s understanding of the subject.

Dr Mandy has been tutoring my son in A level Chemistry. She is an excellent tutor, and a great communicator. She quickly established a rapport with my son, so that he feels comfortable to ask questions. She explains things in a way he understands. Most importantly it has helped his confidence in the subject.
Dr Mandy clearly knows her subject backwards, and the specific requirements of the different exam boards. We would certainly recommend her to others.

Mandy has done an excellent job of helping my son prepare for his A level exams in 2020. Even though they were eventually cancelled, her tuition helped him understand the topics behind Chemistry, and he without a doubt says that he has seen significant improvement after working with Mandy.

Mandy has been working with my son Jamie for the past 5 weeks and he has found mandy extremely easy to understand with clear and organised lesson, even though this just been online this has given Jamie much greater subject knowledge and confidence in his work. As well as Mandy being very adaptable in providing Jamie with a clear and concise plan that has helped to bring him back on track from all he had missed.

Mandy is a wonderful tutor who wants the best for her students. She makes sure you understand everything in a lot of detail and helps explain things in a ways which my daughter can understand and feels like it is a complete explanation. She doesn’t leave any stone unturned and won’t stop until you understand. She also builds your confidence and makes you believe in yourself. She is lovely to chat to as well and makes my daughter feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Our daughter started tutoring with Mandy in November 2019 and she in year 12. Mandy is not only an experienced teacher with immense knowledge in exam board’s requirements but also excellent in communicating with both our daughter and us. She listened to our concerns initially and identified where our daughter was within her syllabus. Mandy, then systematically developed her understanding and subject knowledge in various ways in addition to going over various difficult topics she had encountered. This has clearly improved our daughter’s confidence in tackling the vast topic more easily than if she would have by her own.
Mandy is very affable and approachable too. She was also very accommodating while agreeing on the day and time.
Mandy’s guidance and support has helped our daughter to achieve good scores in various assessments in school. We hope our daughter will go on to achieve excellent grades in her UCAS exams and A level exams next year .

I am eternally grateful for Dr Mandy and I am so glad I decided to choose her as my chemistry tutor. Dr Mandy supported me in achieving the grade that I initially hoped for when I took my chemistry exams the first time. Not only did she help improve my knowledge and understanding in the subject she also played a big role in helping me become more confident in my academic abilities. It is because of her dedicated, patient, and accommodating approach as a tutor that I was a lot more confident in the build up to results day this year compared to last year. With the grade I was able to achieve, thanks to her excellent tutoring skills, I am pleased to be finally attending university this year to study medicine. Dr Mandy has helped me to answer questions more specifically, guiding me to the answer without telling me the answer. This has helped me develop better exam skills and techniques. She also encourages me, and this really boosts my confidence. She is a very good teacher.

After disappointing results at AS, my daughter started seeing Dr Mandy for individual tuition. We cannot stress how happy we both are that we took that decision. My daughter has just received her A level results and has achieved two grades above her predicted grade and starts at a Russell Group university next month.
It goes without saying that Dr Mandy has excellent subject knowledge. However, equally importantly, she has detailed knowledge of the exam board specifications which is essential to boosting grades. Dr Mandy tailors every lesson to the specific needs of the student. She was in regular contact with my daughter throughout the week providing revision materials, practice papers and feedback so I really felt that I got excellent value for money.

Chemistry is a hard subject at A-level which Dr makes clear. Dr is very approachable and reliable and explains concepts clearly. Dr has very good resources which she utilises to good effect in teaching. We would highly recommend Dr as a tutor for chemistry A-level.

My Daughter was finding chemistry difficult at school and was getting D grades. I asked my daughter how she found the first lesson with Mandy and she said that chemistry was finally making sense and her recent tests have been A's. We are continuing with a weekly lesson until she does her GCSE's in 2016. My daughter enjoys her weekly lessons and I would recommend Mandy to any parent who has a child struggling in Chemistry
