I am an experienced science tutor with specialism in chemistry. My approach to teaching is student centred and result oriented and I lay emphasis on the core knowledge and then apply that knowledge to problem solving skills. This helps my students by replacing the stress of the examination with the enjoyment of problem solving.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a postgraduate degree in Biochemistry. I have strong subject knowledge and experience of tutoring all three science GCSEs and A level Chemistry. Due to the years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the specification, I could help my students to approach any difficult and challenging questions by providing hints and prompts. This approach helps students not only with the learning of difficult concepts but also enhances their confidence.
I am a highly motivated science teacher and take my role very seriously. I strongly believe that education is empowering, and I strive to ensure that the students I tutor, develop a love and importance for learning the subject and gain the skills necessary to achieve best in the exams. This means I endeavour to plan and deliver lessons that are interactive and exciting and provide learners an opportunity to reflect upon their own progress and to take ownership of their progress. I could manage to achieve this by building a good rapport with my students and by meeting various learning styles.
