I have the ability to challenge, inspire, engage and enthuse learners, aiding them to make excellent progress and master new skills and concepts as taught in current primary KS1 and KS2 classroom settings.
With over 10 years of classroom practice, I am a fully qualified primary school teacher who has a strong subject knowledge in English and Maths and an up-to-date skills set to teach the National Curriculum across KS1 and KS2. Currently working three days a week (Monday to Wednesday) at a primary school, with full responsibility of running a class of 30 children, I have excellent skills in assessment, target setting, and raising achievement using first-hand learning practices. I have:
* prepared children to sit for both KS1 and KS2 SATs
* carried out intervention/catch-up programs for both low ability and high ability children,
* subject knowledge to teach all subjects across the curriculum.
I am able to plan and teach well-structured lessons that impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time; promote a love of learning and children’s intellectual curiosity; and set homework to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired during lessons.
