She helped one student who was predicted a C grade in her Spanish GCSE to achieve an A grade in her final exam.
University Admissions: She has supported students with their personal statements and CVs for university applications, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the UK and internationally. She can assist with course and university selection, and all stages of the personal statement, from generating ideas for the content to structuring and proofreading. She also helps with preparation for admissions tests. Her students have received offers from universities including University College London and King's College London.
Essay-writing Guidance: She has experience providing essay-writing guidance to students at Russell Group universities including Warwick. She reviews past essays to identify areas for improvement, helps with essay planning and strengthen the quality of the arguments within the essays to help students achieve higher grades. She recently helped one student at a Russell Group university improve her grades from a 2.2 to a 2.1.
Maria is compassionate and encouraging. She enjoys building a strong rapport and tailors each lesson to suit each student's personality and skillset. She loves seeing not only academic progress, but also seeing her students' confidence grow with each lesson so they can fulfil their potential.
