Maria is the most unprofessional Tutor I have ever met. After making contact with me that she will be able to teach my daughter English then she did not turn up for the next session. My daughter who has a need had her first lesson with Maria last week saturday the 9th of september, we discussed including Math to the next session as Maria said she is a Math and English tutor who works with autistic children but I was s bit concerned because her reviews was all on spanish lessons and I saw some reviews of few parents complaining of her behaviour . Today the 16th of September I have waited for Maria to comeover to tutor my daughter she did not turn up neither did she send a message or call to inform me if she will be coming or not. I called her mobile number it rang but she refused to pick up my calls and I left her voice message and then sent her a text but she still didn't respond to my messages or call. I have reported the issue to First Tutors. To be honest I have never seen a rude, disrespectful and unprofessional Tutor like her.

Unfortunately Maureen, you have not read my message that I left this morning.

Next time, I suggest that you should read your messages before making a complaint.

So far so good. Maria has been flexible in her approach and very patient with my son who sometimes finds it difficult to focus. She offers valuable feedback after the session and is working with me to find the best solutions for my son's learning whether that be physical apparatus, formal maths or both. She's very friendly, prompt and approachable. Highly recommend.

Hi, I cannot rate Maria because I did not see her at all. She told me that week on saturday she could not come to see me so I paid thinking she would have come one of the following saturdays, but once I had her number she told me she could not come on saturday anymore because she has other students.

ok I put a 4 to move forward but it does not make sense. I cannot rate her

As I told you before, you are too far from me however I have been working online through your company in the last 6 months.

My daughter has had a handful of tutors in the past, but Maria was not the right fit for teaching her Spanish. The approach was not what I was expecting, as I stated from the outset my daughter was shy. I overheard the tutor describing a piece of completed work as “stupid”, which was totally unprofessional.

After reading this feedback, i was completely in shocked. Not only because I am extremely supportive also because i am professional and I will never treat my students without respect. I am completely speechless. Fortunately, I have a great experience teaching to all my students from First Tutors privately. I found this review completely unfair. Specially with students who want to achieve an A level Exams.

Maria is working with my daughter for the GCSE Spanish and is giving her the confidence with all aspects with learning Spanish including communication, written and listening , Maria is very supportive and welcoming and offers lots of support during her lessons , my daughter feels Maria is very approachable and friendly and is enjoying the classes. I was quite disappointed because there were unexpected expenses (travel) that were sprung up on me after I booked the session for my son and it was confirmed. All cost should have been mentioned before I purchased the contract details just like other tutors on this website have done previously. Even when I contacted afterwards this was still not mentioned but after we set a date and time for the lesson, it was suddenly stated extra money for travel cost. It was not acceptable at this stage. As a result you declined to teach my son

In the first contact with this client, we were arranging our availability during the week and weekend. After that, the client suddenly purchased my details. When i saw that, i decided to contact him directly and checked his address too. When I saw his address i realised that he was living 20 miles away from my place at about 40 minutes travel time. For that reason i considered convenient to add to the tutorial fee 23 pounds another 3 pounds extra for travelling cost. Unfortunately the customer refused to pay 3 pounds extra for my travelling cost so i offered to the customer to come to my place as another option. He had never answered my message also a day later i sent him another message asking him : what did he prefer to do? I never received a reply.
Fortunately i always have an excellent experienced with my students who are reasonable and understanding. I send this message to clarify the customer feedback as i have never had this experience before. Many thanks.

Maria has been excellent in providing the basic building blocks for me and my wife to start learning the Spanish language. We have found it beneficial that she is Spanish, for the pronunciation of the language.
