Marina is wonderful- proactive and organised which pleases me as a parent- and extremely nice, which has helped to win the hearts of my two kids. She finds imaginative and intelligent ways to get scientific concepts across to them, and they have gained a great deal of knowledge and understanding as a result. I would recommend Marina as a tutor without hesitation.

Marina was very prompt in replying to our initial enquiry and this was followed up with a detailed plan if how the lesson would be conducted. Marina also provided an hour long taster session free of charge. My son has enjoyed the sessions so far and feels that he is understanding the content of the lessons. Marina is a positive and friendly tutor who I would highly recommend.

Marina is a fantastic tutor who has really brought out the best in my daughter. She is professional, friendly and reliable, and very easy to communicate with. We wouldn't hesitate in asking for her help again. Thank you!

Marina is a superstar! Her lessons are one of the highlights of my week and she always tailors each lesson to the needs of the student. She is very friendly, always available to answer questions and enthusiastic about science which makes the lesson very enjoyable (which is a hard task when you are revising for A-Level Biology!) She is always up for a chat making it a very calm, stress-free working environment. Could not reccommend Marina enough!

I have absolutely zero regrets about choosing Marina as my tutor for my A Level Chemistry. Marina is professional, insightful and extremely helpful. All sessions were invaluable towards my studies, enabling me to leave every session feeling confident in what I had learned - and being able to tackle concepts which had previously been incomprehensible to me. There is no doubt that Marina is an absolutely excellent tutor, friendly, exceptionally easy to converse with, and able to aid me in efforts that extended beyond my Chemistry studies. Marina was easily able to find a system of teaching that enabled me to reach my fullest potential, massively improving my exam technique, hence walking into my Chemistry A-Level exams, I was feeling more confident than I ever had before. Marina can’t come more highly recommended from me!

I was so pleased that Marina became my tutor! As a mature learner going back to study GCSEs is quite daunting but right from the outset, Marina was able to put me at ease. Our first meeting was great - it helped us both decide whether her teaching style and my learning preferences matched and Marina took the time to find out my interests, what I already knew etc.
I never liked science when I was at school which is why I needed to re-sit the subject! However, Marina made all three sciences more accessible and tailored the teaching so that I was able to grasp difficult concepts. I think I can safely say I enjoy science a lot more now. Marina has a wealth of knowledge and shares this through her teaching. She has built my confidence in exam techniques which was something I lacked, and the skills can be applied anywhere. Excellent tutor who is patient, extremely knowledgeable, fun and quirky but also professional. I will definitely go back to Marina should I ever need tutoring in science again (at a higher level!)

Marina has worked with my son via Skype for a year in both GCSE Maths and Science. She is extremely well organised, very knowledgeable and is able to break down the individual learning style of the student. My son looks forward to his lessons with Marina and can easily discuss any difficulties that have not been explored in school. His knowledge of the subject has improved greatly due to the time with Marina. We have already decided to keep her as an A level tutor, and very much look forward to working with her over the next two years.

Fantastic communication with marina before my daughters first appointment. Marina has been really accommodating. Even in just the first few sessions marina has really boosted shona's confidence. We have no regrets at all in booking Marina and neither has our daughter.

Hello everyone,
It's has been a pleasure liaising with Marina during the early stages of the relationship. Her responses via First Tutor was prompt, accurate and informative as well as friendly. We met recently and the boys j'adore her first meeting with her. So much so that they are actually looking forward to staring maths tutoring lol. Marina is very approachable and knowledgable in her area and has already begun to plan some interesting maths/science projects with our boys ( she'll be tutoring our 4&5 year olds) which we are all geeky excited about! It's not an easy challenge but Marina has bravely accepted which is noble of her. I'll leave an update further down the line but it's all A* from my family at this stage ( which Marina is used to because she's super smart)
