Hannah was a bit anxious about starting again with a new tutor after a previous less than good experience of tutoring. However Mark was able to strike up a rapport easily and the session took off! Mark is professional and explains everything clearly. Hannah has enjoyed her first 2 sessions and thinks she will learn lots. I would happily recommend Mark to others based on the good start we have had with him.

It is always a pleasure to start working with a new student,who comes from a different school to previous tutees. Hannah, although initially lacking confidence, demonstrates excellent numeracy sense, the basis for rapid concrete progress. Mark has been helping my son with his GCSE revision for a few weeks now. Mark taught me GCSE Maths for about 12 weeks and I can truly say I enjoy every lesson we had, I learnt something new each week and enjoyed the teaching style Mark used. Mark is a down to earth person who really wants his students to succeed. There were many times where Mark stayed much longer than he was paid for! That is very rare with at home tutoring. Mark is a great teacher and I will recommend him to others like myself who needed to pass their GCSE Maths to get into university.

Mark is tutoring my daughter in GCSE Maths, and my daughter feels comfortable and able to focus during the sessions. She felt that Mark had definitely tailored the teaching to her learning style even by the end of the first session, and as she felt this was a positive thing, it of course increased her confidence right from the start. Mark is also very patient and will explore different approaches to any one task if he feels that another method may be more achievable. He is also very accommodating as regards times and days, and will always work with you to suit any other commitments should they arise. I would feel happy to recommend him to others that may require maths tutoring for their teenager.
