Home Tuition for Physics in Streatham

I have taught key stage 3, GCSE science and Physics A Level for many years as Head of Physics at a mainstream Wandsworth secondary school, and continue to teach Physics A Level part time. I am a highly qualified, experienced, engaging, successful and professional physics teacher and tutor offering one to one physics tuition in person and online. After graduating in physics from Portsmouth University I spent 4 years as a design engineer in the audio industry. I then completed my PGCE Science and started teaching science at a state London secondary school, where I still work.
I live in SW16 and you can travel to me or I to you, or we can work remotely via Teams.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught key stage 3, GCSE science and Physics A Level for many years as Head of Physics at a mainstream Wandsworth secondary school, and continue to teach Physics A Level part time. I have designed and delivered complete courses of lessons for AQA GSCE and A Level Physics and OCR A Level Physics, and am successfully tutoring individual students at Physics GCSE and A Level face to face and remotely. I have a recent enhanced DBS certificate.

Tutoring Approach

Fun and understanding tend to go together and I aim for both! Our first session is free and we can discuss requirements – where you are at with your physics studies and what the challenges are. We’ll talk about best ways of learning and make a plan for mastering the skills and topics in physics that you find most challenging or have missed out on learning, as well as setting specific targets such as improving an exam grade.
Subsequent sessions are one hour long and we will learn by discussion and questioning, building on what you already know, modelling physics concepts, focusing on past paper questions and exam success.
