I have 20 years experience of teaching Primary aged children, to include SEND and 1 to 1 tutoring. I work in your child's own home and place great emphasis on building a trusting relationship, creating a relaxed atmosphere and celebrating successes. My strengths lie in getting to understand the child and the way they learn and boosting self esteem by creating fun, individualised learning programmes tailored to individual needs to ensure success at every stage. I love to help those who find learning a challenge and cannot manage the mainstream setting and have many success stories! In my spare time I love walking and swimming and playing badminton, exploring the countryside and eating out!
20 years teaching experience.
2 years SENCO
3 years tutoring
Personal experience of SEND and the issues the parent and child face around learning.
I work initially with the child's interests to develop a trusting relationship to learn about and understand the child's individual learning needs. I approach teaching in a fun, creative way to ensure the child is motivated and enjoying the learning process, with lots of opportunities to achieve success so self esteem and confidence is boosted. I work closely with the parent and give feedback on a regular basis.
