Hi! I'm Mathura, a passionate and dedicated tutor specialising in Healthcare and Life Sciences. I’m currently studying Healthcare Life Science (Cellular Science) at the University of Sunderland, where I have also been a course representative for two years, supporting my peers and contributing to course development.

Alongside my studies, I am completing an integrated placement at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, training to become an NHS Registered Biomedical Scientist in Histology. This hands-on experience allows me to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world clinical applications, giving me a deep understanding of laboratory techniques, diagnostic processes, and cellular pathology.

I love helping students grasp complex scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible way. Whether you need support with any of the subjects I teach, I’m here to help you succeed!

Outside of science, I enjoy singing and playing the piano, which keeps me balanced and creative. Looking forward to supporting your learning journey!

Tutoring Experience

With over three years of tutoring experience, I have helped students excel in their academic and creative pursuits. My tailored approach ensures that each student reaches their full potential.

• A-Level & GCSE Tutoring:
  
  I have successfully tutored A-Level Biology and GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, and English. Many of my students have achieved remarkable grade improvements, such as progressing from a D to an A in A-Level Biology within a year and from GCSE Grade 5 to 8/9.

• Entrance Exams & Creative Writing:
  For the past 3.5 years, I have prepared students for grammar school entrance exams, helping them gain places at prestigious institutions such as King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS) and Chelmsford County High School for Girls (CCHS). I also specialise in creative writing coaching, ensuring students develop strong analytical and expressive writing skills.

• Music Tuition:
  I have been teaching piano and singing online for two years, working with students both casually and for competitions. Some of my students have even taken part in music competitions and performances, building their confidence and technical ability.
