Matilde

Hello! I am a 21-year-old Italian university student, studying molecular genetics at King’s College London. I study and have a great passion for genetics and biology, but also enjoy learning more about a variety of subjects, including literature and philosophy. I have studied abroad in the United States on a Merit-based scholarship, after which I moved to the UK for my university education.

Tutoring Experience

I have helped various students with first biology and natural sciences, both at beginner and advanced (university) levels. I have volunteered at a children's social centre as an afternoon tutor, helping children with their homework and studies.
Though my first language is Italian, I am a certified C2 English speaker, have studied at international schools and have lived in both the United States and now, in London.

Tutoring Approach

My personal approach to studying is mirrored on the personal way I have learned the things I now know: this involves both a scholastic approach in which the basis of the subjects are introduced, and a more interactive learning experience, where the material learned will add up to full comprehension and detailed knowledge of the subject. I am motivated to offer a personalized approach, with the intent to ensure that your learning objectives are met to the best possible extent. Also, studies for A-Levels and GCSE will be tailored to the respective syllabus and our time together will be directed to obtaining the best possible results on these exams!
