My name is Matt, I'm a Science teacher & Golden retriever dad.

Tutoring Experience

I'm 5 years into my teaching career & looking to help young people prepare for their exams. I am currently employed in a Newport School working as a Science teacher. My subjects are: Physics, Chemistry and Applied science (WJEC Spec). This means I'm happy to tutor a wide variety of subjects. I have experience leading Applied Science cohorts, both double and single award.

I'm a year 11 form tutor and assistant head of year, so I would say I'm very well suited to help GCSE students negotiate their way through a very difficult period.

I've spent the last two years tutoring a couple of students in both Physics and Biology. Both students doing exceptionally well.

Tutoring Approach

I firmly believe in positive relationships & informative and well structured tutoring. Happy to accommodate a variety of sessions, from covering content to practicing exam questions (+ everything in-between!)
