I am a brilliant motivator, deliverer and portray an enthusiastic and caring attitude. I believe I can make a difference to the development of young children. In the past this has been within a school and classroom setting. I now am targeting learners through tutoring, preferably online however face to face lessons can also be arranged.
I have extensive experience in teaching younger children in Independent schools. For 15 years I taught at Eaton House Belgravia where many boys were excepted into Westminster Under, St Paul’s Junior, Kings College, Sussex House and Wetherby. I have been a private tutor throughout this time to many students. I have worked face to face and online as well as spending many holidays travelling with students abroad.
I have an engaging and caring teaching style. I guide and inspire students with a belief in themselves and constantly reinforce their self esteem. My strengths are in understanding children and using teaching styles that make learning fun and exciting. I am able to teach effectively all the core subjects but particularly English, Maths, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning and Science. With my experience of the 7 and 8 plus school entry procedures I can also guide students in Exam and Interview techniques. I have gleaned many secret strategies schools use to filter out applicants in the hectic exam process. Aside from this, I can also assist in offering general help, guidance, structuring and securing areas that the child needs boosting in.
