I am a current assistant headteacher of teaching and learning with a wealth of experience of tuition. I have taught a range of students over the years, with all of them making significant progress! I have been a head of department in two schools and have taught in other countries also.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked for a popular exam board for a number of years now, where I am also a team leader. I have taught a range of texts throughout three different schools and have an in depth knowledge of how to write exam questions. I have marked over 3000 real GCSE papers, as well as countless other answers within the classroom, so I am well aware of how to ensure a student makes progress.

Tutoring Approach

I work on the basis of getting to know the student and improving their knowledge before applying the skills to examination questions. Confidence is key in tuition and giving a student that ensures they feel happy. I do set a weekly homework task which I also mark so that students are making continuous progress.
