Hi, I am a current undergraduate student at Cambridge University studying Natural sciences. While my current focus is on chemistry, I have studied modules of mathematics, physics and biology to undergraduate levels, as well as history and philosophy of science. I have experience not just tutoring but also in helping those with learning disabilities, which I will elaborate in the experience section. Should it also be required, I can also help in application preparation, for university admissions, as well as interview practice for those who are attending universities.
At school, I was involved in a mentoring scheme, where I met with and aided a student, who was struggling whit learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. This was more focused around general study skills than content. In addition, I tutored another student on GCSE physics in 2020, although I unfortunately do not have grades to demonstrate this, as there were no examinations that occurred.
For the moment, I am limiting this to online tutoring, but in the future I am open to doing in person teaching. For exam oriented teaching, I tend to focus on areas that the student has difficulty on. I review the content before the session. I go through the content with them and creating a small crib sheet of notes for the student. I then tend to ask exam questions and see how they approach the topic in the context of this question.
