I am currently a second-year Mathematics student at the University of Bristol, achieving a First in my degree. I earned 4 A*s in my A-levels (Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Physics), which has given me a solid foundation in these subjects. I am passionate about sharing my love for Maths and the sciences with students, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
Beyond academics, I have experience coaching tennis to young children and actively participate in various university sports, including kickboxing and rock-climbing. I believe in a well-rounded approach to learning, and I enjoy incorporating different skills and disciplines to engage students.
With my academic background and enthusiasm for teaching, I’m committed to helping students excel in their studies and develop a genuine appreciation for Maths and the sciences.
I have tutored students in GCSE Maths and A-level Chemistry, helping them build a strong understanding of key concepts and improve their problem-solving skills. By tailoring each lesson to the individual needs of my students, I’ve been able to guide them through challenging topics, build their confidence, and help them achieve their academic goals.
My experience also includes working with students with autism, which has allowed me to refine my approach and develop specialized strategies that cater to different learning styles. I’m committed to providing a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment that enables every student to thrive.
I believe that every student learns differently, and one of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my adaptability. I tailor my teaching approach to suit the individual needs of each student, ensuring that the lessons are engaging and productive. I focus on practicing questions to solidify content and understanding, as I find that active learning is the most effective way to retain information.
I understand that motivation can be a challenge for many students, having faced it myself. As a result, I’ve developed a range of motivational techniques that help students find their inner drive and stay focused. By creating a supportive and encouraging environment, I strive to make learning enjoyable and meaningful, helping students not only achieve their academic goals but also develop a love for the subjects they once found difficult.
