I have always been an extremely motivated and enthusiastic student with exceptional academic results (ten Grade 9 GCSEs and predicted 4 A*s at A Level). I would stay behind after class to discuss topics with my teachers and help my friends with their homework just because it was an opportunity for me to help others engage with subjects which resonate with me.
I have achieved medals like Gold in the UKMT maths challenges and have also been awarded in other competitions like the Girls’ Maths Olympiad and the British Physics Olympiad.
I am starting Arts and Sciences at UCL in September. (I am a strong advocate for interdisciplinarity and love literature as much as I love maths).
I have tutored family friends, as well as peers at school. I used to run the maths A-level help club as I had finished the syllabus in one year since I did Further Maths A-Level as well.
I myself have ADHD and still managed to achieve top grades. I am a firm believer that different learning techniques work for different people as everyone is unique. I have tried and tested a lot of techniques and am happy to engage with the tutee in discussing which techniques work/ don’t work for them to achieve the best results.
